Nonetheless this is not simple equation (I understand your simple minds can only understand things in its simplest form). Without complicating this more than I need to, let me tell you that the ratio of overseas incomes Vs domestic income plays a big factor (there are others factors too). At the end of the day please do not exclude the possibility that a better & bigger star and actor like SRK perhaps has “better” consultants.

Firstly, nobody here is disputing how much one’s earning. It’s their personal choice to charge what they like. However, it’s quite well-known that both SRK and Hrithik are some of the highest paid movie stars in india.
Like ‘Shaan Khan’ said, you’re trying to hard to understand things and in the process oversimplifying them. I’ll help you put things in perspective…
1. paying more tax doesn’t mean Hrithik is the highest paid. It might be that Hrithik is clearing his earlier arrears/ dues.
2. Hrithik would’ve done more films/ ads than SRK due to which his taxable amount would go up… And doing lesser films/ ads doesn’t mean that the actor is underpaid (both SRK and Aamir have been doing fewer films/year in the recent past)
3. Let’s presume that Hrithik might be paid higher than SRK. In this case, it could be that SRK is not charging a fortune to enact a role unlike Hrithik. Plus SRK might be more down-to-earth than Hrithik.
That should be good enuff for you for now. Else you might pass away due to overdose

Same thing people were saying when Chak De! India was on verge of Release and now they are crying. Same thing will happen to you as well.
So far 2007 has proved excellent for Shah Rukh Khan. KBC Last Episode had the Highest TRP Ever in Television History, while Chak De! India is the Biggest Hit of 2007 in India and Om Shanti Om had the Highest Audio Sales in 2007 in India.

Please talk about issues which you comprehend. Allow me to school you, overseas income in most nations is not counted as income as long as the income stays overseas. Hence if SRK makes XX Billions overseas (i.e. in US,UK, etc) and keeps them overseas (buys property etc in US, UK) it is not counted as income and therefore not taxed.
Moreover the reported net income is an adjusted income (This is where a good tax consultant helps).
To make a long story short, there is nothing in the report that can tell you who (SRK or HR) made more gross un-adjusted income, you will never know that either, till you see their actual tax fillings and also find out (requires their co-operation) what they made overseas.

Tax paid for 2007 means the tax paid from 2006 apr 1 to 31st match 2007.In this course Hritik has two films which were huge hits and also one of those was his home production.
Hence the highest tax paid.
In the year 2007-08 SRK and salman might become highest tax payers as one of their home productions are releasing.

The highest ever TRP for indian television was KBC1 which recored the highest ever trp of 26.

akshay kumar is the best inspite of not working with big banners he earns or lot, hrihik is boring character and he is not versatile at all so thumb down for hrithik
guys wake up. it is not hrithik who has paid the highest tax for the year 2007-08.it is actually sharukh who has paid an advance tax of 27 crores till december 2007. which means for the whole of 2007-08 financial year sharuks earning will be more than 100 crores.
